For nearly 40 years, The Laureate® Academy has remained steadfast in its commitment to meeting the individual academic needs of students in Grades 1–12 within a university entrance curriculum. Our longevity reflects both our purpose and our expertise. We were founded on the belief that capable, intelligent students who learn differently deserve an educational environment intentionally designed to help them thrive.

Our students are bright, capable young people who learn in diverse ways and often require a more intentional, structured approach to instruction. Many benefit from explicit teaching, guided practice, and consistent reinforcement to strengthen foundational skills and build confidence. We embrace that responsibility with expertise and purpose.

At The Laureate® Academy, skill development is at the core of our program. We explicitly teach foundational literacy skills — including decoding, fluency, comprehension, and written expression — alongside numeracy development and subject-specific competencies. Equally important, we prioritize the development of executive functioning skills, study habits, time management, organization, and self-advocacy. Our students are not only learning curriculum; they are learning how to learn.

Equally important is our commitment to cultivating grit and a growth mindset in every student. We intentionally teach students that effort matters, that challenges are opportunities for growth, and that progress comes through persistence. When students encounter difficulty, we guide them to reflect, adjust strategies, and try again. This mindset is embedded in our classrooms, our feedback, and our daily interactions.
